Everyone….meet Ruth aka Ruthie. This little thang is the cutest ball of joy that has ever come into my life! (I don’t have kids yet, so I can say that).

When Josh and I got married, one of the first things I wanted to check off the list of life was to get a puppy. I couldn’t find a job in Long Beach for a good while, which left me home alone often just pining for a puppy companion. Since we live in a back house and share a backyard, I wasn’t sure if we were able to get a dog. After a month of being too scared to ask (afraid of rejection), I finally worked up the courage and praise The Shepherd they said yes! Our landlords said as long as it was a girl and she was small it was a-ok! The bliss in my heart could not be contained! I had no idea what kind of pup I wanted, all I knew was that I wanted her name to be, Ruth. I wanted to name her after Ruth from the Bible because Ruth was very loyal to her mother-in-law and I wanted my Ruth to be loyal to me! So after extensive research and looking up pups for sale in the area, I was between getting a French Bulldog or a Cocker Spaniel. I found Ruthie on Craigslist, she was the runt of her litter and the last one they hadn’t been able to sell. I arranged to meet her at the park….at first glance, I fell in love! Ruthie continues to bring me so much joy and playfulness each and every day!

SO….because of this great love for my furry friend, I have decided to write a little somethin somethin about her every Tuesday…I shall call it, Ruthie Tuesdays!
